Through collaboration, users can share their knowledge and learn from each other (Thagard, 1997). In an example above, where Wikipedians from Mainland China and Taiwan may share different views of Taiwan independence, these two opposed parties can not only share their knowledge on the topic, they can also learn from each other and gather a more thorough, and less biased view on the issue.
